Budapest, June 15, 2018: SRF Limited, a chemical based multi-business Indian conglomerate and a leading manufacturer of Bi-axially Oriented Polyethylene Terephthalate (BOPET) and Bi-axially Oriented Polypropylene (BOPP) films, announces the establishment of its first manufacturing site in the European region. This state-of-the-art facility will house an ultra-modern 10.4m wide BOPET film line capable of producing ~40,000 MT/annum. The plant will be set up at an investment of approx. 60 Mn Euro and will start production towards the end of 2019. With the addition of this facility, SRF will become one of the largest manufacturers of BOPET and BOPP films with a capacity of ~220,000 MT/annum and production sites in four countries - India, Thailand, South Africa and Hungary. “Our new facility, when complete, will serve as template for future packaging films manufacturing facilities around the world by setting a new benchmark in the industry in terms of automation and efficiency,” said Ashish Bharat Ram, SRF’s Managing Director. “I am very excited to commence the start of the construction process and grateful to our customers who have necessitated this growth.”
