Overview:

Organised by SRF Foundation in collaboration with SPIC MACAY, SMARAN 2020 was a two-day musical festival celebrating the life and legacy of Pt. Ravi Shankar. The event aimed to introduce younger generations to his timeless compositions and the grandeur of Hindustani classical music.

Hari Prasad Chaurasia (Flute), Ustad Zakir Hussain (Tabla), Begum Parween Sultana (Vocal), Vishwamohan Bhatt (Mohan Veena), Bickram Ghosh (Tabla), Ashwini Bhide Deshpande (Vocal), Tarun Bhattacharya (Santoor), Partho Sarathy (Sarod), Shubhendra Rao (Sitar), and Sanjeev & Ashwini Shankar (Shehnai).
• Special Note:The event featured lamp lighting ceremonies and soulful renditions that paid homage to Pt. Ravi Shankar’s Dhrupad style and innovative approach to sitar.
• Impact:Created awareness among youth and reinforced SRF Foundation’s cultural commitment.
